Sati's Training

Sati is a fully trained Comprehensive Level Stott Pilates teacher, having acquired over 1000 hours of training in Greenville, SC and Charlotte, NC.

In 2006, Sati began to study Pilates Apparatus in Colorado to ease a few issues in her shoulders and hips. The practice was really fun, immensely satisfying, and it fixed the small challenges that had arisen due to loose joints and  aggressive play, such as rock climbing.

In 2009 she completed her training and has therapeutically been helping those with physical injuries and issues acquire a new level of health and well being ever since.

Sati has also completed over 1600 hours of yoga teacher training and is an ERYT500 Hatha and Vinyasa yoga teacher.

Private Pilates Apparatus

Pilates is a form of exercise that emphasizes the balanced development of the body through core strength, flexibility, and awareness. It creates efficiency of movement, makes the body leaner and the muscles stronger, and shifts imbalances and poor habits. Since it's done privately, Sati's clients mainly use it therapeutically as an adjunct to current or past physical rehabilitation.  Pilates Apparatus helps to alleviate issues like back problems, joint and weight-bearing injuries, or structural problems like scoliosis because it doesn't tackle large muscle groups alone, it also targets the smaller stabilizing muscles.  Hands down, it's one of the best modalities for creating core strength as well as pelvic, joint, and rotator stabilization!

Pilates Apparatus with Sati is done privately using specific equipment such as the Chair, Reformer, Cadillac, and Ladder Barrel. Each class begins with 8 minutes of core mat work to warm up the body, while interspersing a few tools like the Magic Circle, hand weights, or Flex Bands to help build strength.  From there the Apparatus, specifically designed to provide resistance through ropes, springs, discs, and gravity, streamlines movement patterns. This creates a more effective, balanced body, helping to improve any physical exercise or sport that you do!
